alright, so boom. i already spilled the beans about why i started this section of the website, but this is the page where I'll be spilling the real tea. i'm gonna be telling y'all the things that you're not gonna hear from people at recruitment events, the things i wish i knew before starting this process, and things you won't find on a school's website. this is where the majority of the updates on this section of the site will be. these will be more continuous than the way the other blog posts are set up, but i don't think i'll be on as strict of a schedule as i am with the breakthroughs.
i named this page check-ins & check-ups because i'll be giving some updates and just sharing where I am mentally and emotionally in my process. i've already learned that there are highs and lows on this journey, and they both need to be talked about for the simple reasons that nobody wants to feel like they're losing their mind or that they're the only ones going through something. check-ins will discuss more of the highs of this experience, and the check-ups will be during the times where I'm not feeling too hot. ya get it? because you go to the doctor for a check-up when you aren't feeling good. *badum tss*
anyway, the same principles of my other blogs still apply. i'm going to be honest. i'm not perfect and this is not easy for me to do. that's why it took me so long to get it started. just like I've said in my other blogs, all i wanna do is help someone else know they aren't alone in their journey. this is no different. it's just tailored to those of us who wanna rock the white coats and stethoscopes.
